Origin

Developed through the cross-breeding of Prunus cerasus (sour cherry) and Prunus canescens.

Agronomic Characteristics

Vigor

Semi-dwarfing rootstock. Vigor is approximately 50-60% of standard cherry rootstocks, offering good control over tree size.

Compatibility

High with a wide range of sweet cherry varieties.

Adaptability

Various soil types, including sandy, loamy, and well-drained soils.

Disease Resistance

Moderate resistance to bacterial canker and other common cherry diseases. Some susceptibility to Phytophthora.

Tolerance

Good frost resistance, making it suitable for areas with late frosts. Tolerant to a variety of climatic conditions, although best suited for regions without extreme heat or cold.
