Basics of the super high-density model
The variety
Choosing the right variety is very important, and the recommended ones for a super high-density orchard are the French Prune and Denny varieties.
Rootstock Rootpac® 20
Developed by Agromillora, it provides naturally controlled vigor and adapts well to a wide range of soils, especially heavier ones. Vigor control is key to achieving small, easily mechanizable canopies that are efficient in light interception.
Hedgerow Training System
A small-volume, two-dimensional training system designed for mechanized pruning and harvesting using over-the-row machines commonly used in vineyards, olive, and almond orchards.
The training period lasts 3 years, using fully mechanical pruning. Full production is reached starting in the 5th year, with 100% mechanical harvesting.
