- Vigorous rootstock
- Early productivity
- High resistance to cold, armillaria, and is resistant to Verticillium dahliae K
- Performs well in calcareous soils and has medium tolerance to salinity
Pioneer Blue® Platinum
- Superior vigor compared to UCB 1
- Tolerance to salinity, and its resistance to low temperatures
- Very similar to UCB 1 in most of its characteristics
- Widely distributed in California in the last 10-15 years.
